Common Problems And Solutions For Color Pervious Concrete

2023-10-10

1. Insufficient strength of Color pervious concrete

The strength of pervious concrete is affected by many factors, mainly including: insufficient cement addition, insufficient stone strength, preparation technology, insufficient reinforcing agent SiO2 content, and irregular maintenance. Therefore, it should start from optimizing raw materials, adding mineral fine additives and organic reinforcement Three aspects to improve the strength of pervious concrete.

2. Color pervious concrete cracking

Due to changes in temperature and humidity, the brittleness and unevenness of concrete, and unreasonable structure, cracks often appear in pervious concrete after being used for a period of time, causing headaches for many construction workers. Therefore, when designing the combination, attention should be paid to reducing water consumption while ensuring that the pervious concrete works well. Set hidden reinforcements at the easily cracked edges to increase the reinforcement ratio and the ultimate tensile strength of the concrete. In the structural design, the climate characteristics during construction should be fully considered and post-pouring joints should be reasonably set. Strictly control the quality and technical standards of concrete raw materials, use low hydration heat cement, and reduce the mud content of coarse and fine aggregates as much as possible (below 1 to 1.5%).

3. Pinholes or bubbles appear on the Color pervious concrete

The fundamental reason for the formation of many pinholes in the color pervious concrete is that the solvent in the permeable floor paint is activated after painting, leaving the paint liquid too late to replenish, resulting in small circular circles, holes or pinholes. Permeable concrete with lower varnish and pigment content in the surface layer are more prone to these conditions.

4. Partial stones falling off from color pervious concrete

The main reasons for the local peeling off of pervious concrete are as follows: Insufficient proportion of permeable concrete enhancer (Cementing material) and cement or uneven mixing; excessive watering on the surface, loss of slurry on the surface of the stones; insufficient concrete strength; and when washing the surrounding areas. The slurry is lost due to water erosion; the curing film is missing. Therefore, it is necessary to use qualified permeable concrete reinforcing agent materials; the reinforcing agent and cement should be put in sufficient amounts and mixed thoroughly as required. When spraying water for maintenance, the pressure should not be too high, and direct spraying with water pipes is strictly prohibited. When cleaning the surrounding area, cover the permeable concrete part. Carry out batching construction according to the designed concrete strength ratio. The overlapping of the curing film must be tightly sealed, and the film must be covered and cured for 7 days.
