BES Stamped Concrete – Transform Ordinary Concrete into Extraordinary Art

2026-09-03

What is Stamped Concrete?

Stamped concrete, also known as embossed flooring or imprinted concrete, is a decorative paving solution that replicates the look of natural stone, brick, wood, or tile – at a fraction of the cost. The process involves pouring cast-in-place concrete and imprinting texture patterns using specialized molds while the concrete is still workable, creating a seamless, monolithic surface.

Unlike traditional pavers that are installed piece by piece, stamped concrete offers a continuous, joint-free surface that is less prone to settling, shifting, or weed growth. This makes it an ideal choice for driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks, plazas, and commercial spaces.

Why Choose BES Stamped Concrete?

🏗️Rapid Construction

BES stamped concrete combines structural function with decorative effect in a single, one-time pour. There's no need for secondary decoration or overlay work – the pattern and color are integrated directly into the concrete surface, significantly reducing construction time and labor costs.

🔗Superior Integrity

Unlike traditional paving bricks that can become uneven, loose, or have a short service life, BES stamped concrete offers unparalleled structural integrity. The seamless, monolithic surface eliminates the problems of shifting, settling, and joint deterioration.

💪High Strength & Wear Resistance

Through careful raw material selection and precise proportioning, BES stamped concrete delivers exceptional compressive and flexural strength. The surface is highly resistant to wear, corrosion, and aging – far outperforming ordinary decorative coatings that may peel, fade, or discolor over time.

🎨Rich Colors & Endless Patterns

BES offers a vast palette of colors paired with a wide variety of texture patterns – including wood grain, stone, slate, cobblestone, brick, and antique finishes. This versatility allows designers to create distinctive architectural styles that enhance urban aesthetics and property value.

💰Cost-Effective

Compared to natural stone or high-end pavers, BES stamped concrete delivers the same premium look at a significantly lower cost. The one-step molding process eliminates the expense of secondary finishing, making it an economical choice for both residential and commercial projects.

🧱Three-Dimensional Texture

Different mold designs create varying depths and three-dimensional textures that bring surfaces to life. Unlike flat painted or tiled surfaces, stamped concrete adds visual depth and character that mimics the authentic feel of natural materials.

BES Material System

BES Concrete Color Hardener (Colossal Powder)

A nano-engineered powder product that combines imported raw materials – including silica sand, corundum, titanium dioxide, silicon carbide, high-standard white cement, nano silica fume, and polypropylene fiber. When applied to fresh concrete, it chemically reacts with the surface layer, penetrating deeply to enhance strength and permanently alter both the structure and color of the concrete.

  • Dosage: 3 kg/m²

  • Form: Colored powder

  • Key Benefits: Fine texture, excellent penetration, strong integration with concrete, no peeling or fading

BES Mold Release Agent Powder

A specialized release powder that creates a separation layer between the color hardener and the stamping molds. It prevents the molds from sticking to the concrete surface while also providing a secondary coloring effect that enhances the three-dimensional appearance of the texture.

  • Dosage: 3 kg/m²

  • Form: Colored powder

  • Key Benefits: Enables clean mold release, provides secondary coloring, creates layered depth and texture

BES Sealing Protector

A high-performance, benzene-free polyurethane sealant that cures and protects the finished surface. It penetrates the concrete to form a durable, transparent protective layer that resists oxidation, UV radiation, and chemical attack.

  • Dosage: 0.2 kg/m²

  • Form: Colorless transparent liquid

  • Key Benefits: Thick, durable protective layer; long-lasting color retention; enhances surface gloss and durability

Construction Process

Step 1: Pour Base Concrete
Pour standard-grade concrete, ensuring proper vibration compaction and slurry extraction. Level and smooth the surface.

⚠️ Critical Note: When using commercial ready-mix concrete, avoid adding early-strength agents (such as fly ash or mineral powder). These can cause the surface to dry too quickly while the base remains moist, leading to cracking during stamping.

Step 2: Spread Color Hardener
During the initial setting stage, evenly spread 2/3 of the specified color hardener over the concrete surface. After full absorption and initial chemical reaction, apply the remaining 1/3 and perform a second leveling operation.

Step 3: Level and Smooth
Perform at least three manual troweling operations, staggered in timing, to ensure even color distribution and surface flatness.

Step 4: Apply Release Agent & Stamp
When the surface is firm enough (dry with no visible moisture), evenly apply the release agent powder. Then press the selected pattern molds into the surface with firm, consistent pressure. Keep molds flat and aligned; avoid heavy re-stamping on secondary passes.

Step 5: Clean the Surface
After 48–72 hours of curing (depending on climate conditions), use a high-pressure water gun to wash away the release agent powder. For heavy residue, use a brush to assist with cleaning.

Step 6: Apply Sealing Protector
Once the cleaned surface is completely dry (typically 8–10 days after stamping), roll-apply the BES Sealing Protector evenly. Allow 24 hours for full curing. The surface can be used within 5–8 hours after application.

Cover Mold Stamped Concrete (Overlay System)

In addition to new construction, BES offers a Cover Mold Stamped Concrete system for repairing, renovating, and beautifying existing concrete surfaces. This versatile overlay solution can transform worn, plain concrete into decorative masterpieces without the need for demolition.

Key Features:

  • Unlimited pattern and color combinations

  • One-time paving for complete integration

  • Excellent UV resistance for global climate conditions

  • Oil-proof, waterproof, and anti-slip

  • No cracking, peeling, or fading

Construction Steps:

  1. Foundation Cleaning: Ensure the existing concrete is completely clean and free of impurities

  2. Interface Treatment: Prepare the surface with cement mortar for proper adhesion

  3. Material Application: Mix one bag DQ (30kg) with 5.5–6L water, apply evenly over the prepared surface, and smooth with a trowel

  4. Stamp: Once the surface is firm enough, apply release agent and press in the molds

  5. Flush: Wash away release agent after 48–72 hours of curing

  6. Seal: Apply sealing protector after the surface is clean and dry

Color Selection

BES offers an extensive range of colors to match any design vision – from earth tones and natural stone shades to vibrant contemporary hues. Custom color matching is also available for specialized projects.

Wide Range of Mold Patterns

BES provides a diverse selection of stamping molds to suit any architectural style or design preference. Available patterns include:

  • Stone Textures: Random stone, cobblestone, flagstone, slate

  • Wood Grain: Various timber plank patterns

  • Brick Patterns: Classic and contemporary brick layouts
